Guys! I got my PE Warden (3rd Party Fort Max) today!
This thing is beautiful. It came with a huge box with a lot of accessories, a really big gun, and a exhibition stand.
If you are a Headmaster fan, the toy contains a detachable head which can turns into a headmaster just like how it is in the original cartoon.
If you are a MTMTE fan and is worrying about whether the Headmaster element will conflict with the IDW setting, I can tell you: it won’t.
The head is nicely concealed, it doesn’t look bizarre or oversize.
His knees are die cast with rightly tight joints, so it gives a nice balancing ability to the overall body. Even with the huge tank treads on back, he is absolutely stable and is extremely pose-able because of those smartly articulated legs.
Yes PE Fort Max can recreate the scene where Fort Max shot Overlord in MTMTE #15 perfectly! (See first picture. The pose also confirmed his high movement ability and stability of his legs.)
There are several details that will made a MTMTE fan happy:
An Alex Milne styled arm pit! Even though the rotating gears (?) surrounding the actual toy arm pits are decorative, they do give the arm pit area of the figure a much better “mechanical” vibe than many TF toys.
The tank treads are made of rubber and is actually ROTATABLE! I was blown away by this. I can’t remember having another TF toy that has functioning tank treads ( I heard that some old TF toys have this feature, but you know they don’t make good things like they used to do anymore.)
And look at his handsome but a little melancholy face! Isn’t him adorable?
In addition to all of these, I must say they did a pretty fantastic paint job and quality controlling in the product. All paints are nicely added, no exceeding paints are found. The plastic feels firm with an appropriate weight too. I would say it worth of it’s price.
I think the scale, even a bit smaller, is about right with the current MP/erd party MP lines too. I am glad I can get him before Chinese New Year.
